MFA is mandatory for all dashboard user account logins.
For your security and the safety of the people and systems that you protect, the adam:ONE® dashboard controller will make Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) mandatory for all users. If a user does not have MFA set up already, they will be prompted to do so after signing in. If a user does not have MFA set up by Wed 22 July 2026 email 2FA will automatically be enabled.
This change is to help enforce good operational security practices for all dashboard administrators which is a standard for accounts across all mission critical services.
If users are already following good security practices by using MFA already, no additional action is needed from the user’s side.
Should you be setting up MFA with any ADAM account for the first time, we highly recommend you use the strongest factors available:

Sovereign Passkey (Yubikey).

Synchronized Passkey (Password Manager / Mobile Platform with hardened account) (Optional).

Strong Password (Managed by a hardened Password Manager such as 1Password).
For initial setup, email is used as a second factor, and is intended for setup purposes only. It will be disabled once your passkey is added.
Additional Notes
We remind you to apply account hardening to your email account used for your adam:ONE® administration access and apply the same strong MFA factors to that account.
You have the option to use Passwordless sign in (Passkey only) but we highly recommend you only use that if you have multiple factors in play for protecting access to the passkey. (E.G.: Yubikey + PIN; or Biometric authentication + Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
