adam:OSN for iOS v1.5 Released

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of adam:GO™ OSN v1.5! We’ve been hard at work, not just squashing bugs, but also laying down some serious groundwork to make your experience smoother, faster, and more insightful.

:sparkles: New Features

We’ve sprinkled some magic dust (and a lot of code) to bring you these fantastic enhancements:

  • Reactive Network Monitoring: We’ve made network observation much more responsive! We’re now using a modern, reactive approach to detect network changes. This means adam:OSN knows what’s up with your connection, faster and more flexibly than ever before.
  • Copy-Paste for Logs & Messages: Tired of not being able to select text in your logs or inbox message details? Not anymore! Text selection is now enabled, making troubleshooting and sharing details a breeze.
  • Pro-Level Telemetry: If you ever hit a snag and need to submit a bug report, it’s now packed with better info! We’ve introduced a structured telemetry system that includes a 15-minute rolling log window. This helps us fix issues faster than before.
  • MDM DTTS Subnet Exemptions: For our enterprise users, you can now configure a (DTTS) subnet bypass list via Mobile Device Management (MDM). This is useful to exempt certain VLANs from DTTS filtering.

:bug: Bug Busters: Fixed and Forgotten!

  • Unblock Requests are Fixed: We squashed a bug that was preventing the UI from correctly showing the server’s response to an unblock request.
  • Stable DTTS Logs: No more disappearing DTTS log entries during extension process resumptions! We’ve resolved the persistence issues.
  • No More Frozen DNS Logs: Fixed an issue in the DNS Proxy Extension that could cause DNS logs to freeze and temporarily disable network filtering.
  • Time Zone Troubles Solved: For our global users, we fixed an app-wide issue where date formats using local time zones for storage keys caused day boundary inconsistencies.
  • Data Reliability: We’ve beefed up the reliability of data storage initialization, making sure your persisted data is safe and sound from early access failures.
  • Apple Watch & iCloud Exemptions: We added DTTS exemptions for Apple Watch communication and iCloud Sync to ensure these critical services work without a hitch.

:hammer_and_wrench: Under the Hood Improvements

There are many improvements as we migrate to modern Swift concurrency. Big step forwards in better stability.

adam:OSN v1.5 is rolling out now, you should see it on your devices this week.

If you’re on adam:ONE and interested in protecting roaming iOS and iPadOS devices through the adam:GO stack or, or if you already have adam:GO™ using VPN and would like to explore the new adam:OSN (Operating System Native) solution, please reach out to your account manager.
