Please allow us to change the name of the unblock manager. Currently the email is the only name that gets put into the unblock request notifications. Also please give us an email template with variables that we can configure. The unblock request emails are way too long and complicated, we would like smaller, push notification friendly messages.
OK, I literally see you guys changing your email template for the unblock request email sometime in the last week. So why can’t you carry out these email template changes for us while you’re in those settings anyways?
We want it very short and concise so we can get the gist of the message in the first line.
Hey @nckrwlmn yes it was changed as part of a backend upgrade. Adding features was not part of the scope, but the templating engine was changed.
What I’m curious about is are you literally talking about the push notifications from your email app, or are you using another app to translate these emails into separate push notifications?
In either case, what app are you using that is creating these notifcations?
I’m using Pushovers email gateway.
OK, I’m a pushover user as well, but they unfortunately don’t seem to have a way to parse the incoming message and pull the important pieces out of it.
We pushed out a change to this template yesterday that should resolve the concerns here. I’ll mark this feature request as closed.
