I am running pfsense 2.3 and just installed dnsthingy. As soon as I enable it, I end up with a NetBios brodcast storm from the gateway 2.2.2.1 to 2.2.2.255 on port 137. Just a continuous non-stop flood. If I disable DNSthingy, it stops.

By default adam:ONE does a NetBIOS and ARP scan to discover new devices on the network.
You can disable it by adding disable-neighbour-discovery=true to your Advanced Options settings, see this screenshot.
Then click Save and Apply Changes.
After adding this option, new devices may take a minute before they start working and device names may not be discovered.
