One of the tools included with our service is how the gateway sees your traffic source. This is available at http://mytools.management/whoami and looks like this:
The displayed MAC address is what the gateway sees you as. If it mismatches your actual device MAC address, you have an ARP PROXY or a physical bridge between your gateway and the endpoint.
It is generally good network practice to have layer 2 (MAC address) visibility from your gateway to each endpoint.
As an example, Ubiquiti NanoStation access points are commonly deployed without WDS switch enabled. We recommend it is enabled as shown here:
When enabled throughout the network, each endpoint MAC address will match mytools.management/whoami.
